NY Times: Between Big Cities, a Road Passes the Russia
By ELLEN BARRY
Along the highway between Moscow
and St. Petersburg — a 12-hour trip by car — one sees great neglected stretches of land that seem drawn backward in time.
massive top and center, anti Putin hatchet piece is one of the worst economic hit jobs we have seen to date. The Times cleverly
hand picked some poor areas of Russia in order to paint a false picture of a backwards nation suffering under the tyrant Putin.
This is coming from the same Times propaganda sheet that, during the Soviet era, would cover up the Communist misery that
Russians lived under, and present a false picture of prosperity instead.
In fact, when the civilized world expressed dismay over Stalin's genocidal atrocities, it was the Sulzberger
Family's Times correspondent in Moscow, Walter Duranty, who apologized for Stalin by stating, on multiple occasions,
"You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs."
eggs" were the skulls of the innocent men, women, and children which Stalin and his henchmen smashed to bits. And those
"few" numbered in the tens of millions. The Sulzberger Times
didn't complain then. But boy do they sure love to talk about Putin's alleged shortcomings today!
The steady, and stunning economic recovery that has
taken place under Putin is undeniable, and continues to attract foreign investment. Wages, foreign investment, and living
standards are way up. Unemployment and crime are way down. Taxes are the lowest in Europe, the currency is stable, debts are
low, the middle class is growing, and the private health care industry is expanding rapidly. Most telling of all is the fact
that Putin retains the support of 75% of Russians.
That there is still much work to be done is a direct consequence of 70 years of demoralising
Communism, (which The Times supported), capped off by another 10 years of destructive, Harvard
inspired Yeltsinist / Oligarchist "shock therapy" (which
The Times also supported). For the Times to deliberately go out of its way to find leftover Communists
and some "neglected" rural folk to bitch, whine, and put the blame on Putin, would be like going to rural Appalachia,
hand picking some destitute family, and using it as an example of America's backwardness.
Expect this type of anti Putin journalistic garbage to ramp up as we approach Russia's
Winter Olympics in February of 2014. Though it promises to be a spectacular show, you will be hearing, 24/7, about Russia's
"poverty" and "corruption" and "persecution" of homosexuals.
in the day, The Times' man in Moscow wrote puff piece after puff piece about Stalin and his "achievements". Today,
the Sulzberger rag hates on Putin and dismisses his REAL achievements.
Left: Putin is immensely popular, and The Times can't stand
Right: Stalin and Lenin were hated and
feared, yet the Times adored them!
